Connie Munro
Connie Munro is co-chair of the board of the Haven Foundation.
Born and raised in New Westminster, B. C., Connie holds a Bachelor of Arts, (Hons.) from Simon Fraser University (1971), Bachelor of Laws from Dalhousie University (1974), and a Master of Arts in Applied Theology from Marylhurst University (2007). She is a retired member of the Law Society of British Columbia. On the Board since 2004, Connie has served as Chair of the Education Committee since its formation.
Connie first came to The Haven in 1996 and credits the personal growth work she did in Come Alive and Phases I, II, and III, with helping her to "go out and create the life I truly wanted to live". That has included becoming a mother for the first time in 2000 when she adopted a little girl in China.
With her husband, Peter Joyes, and daughter, Linnea, Connie resides in Portland, Oregon, while frequently visiting their holiday home on Gabriola Island.
